Nineteen of the Russian's 21 titles have been achieved on hard courts
A resurgent Medvedev claimed his initial championship for 882 days with victory over Corentin Moutet in the Almaty Open championship match.
Medvedev, a ex- number one, has endured a challenging period, achieving just a single victory at the major tournaments and suffering a difficult moment at the American major.
The player's inconsistency on the professional circuit - and struggles with his serving in specific - caused him dropping out of the top ten and ultimately parting ways with former coach Gilles Cervara.
Presently training with his coach and Goetzke, he has gradually progressed in the past month - peaking in a closely contested three-set win over Frenchman Moutet.
This marks the player's first title after the Rome competition and initial on a hard court from that period of the previous year.
The win also indicates the Russian has achieved 21 championships at twenty-one different events.
"For the first time I am participating in a event with my both daughters at once, so to win a title is particularly special," commented tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.
"This title is in tribute of my child Victoria, because the initial championship I achieved when my child Alisa was born was for her."
Medvedev, the past champion, had lost his previous six title deciders, featuring in Halle earlier this year.
Medvedev's counter-punching approach and recurring emotional displays on the playing surface had caused commentators to doubt if his capacity to play at the elite level was concluded.
However the 29-year-old has implemented adjustments in the past month, making an effort to approach the net and perform aggressively, reinforced by an enhanced service.
Medvedev came back from a break down in the opening set against the tricky Moutet, winning four of the final five games to take the lead.
The pair traded break points in the middle set before Moutet, attempting for his first professional victory, gained dominance to push for a decider.
He saved 4 initial chances in a tight final set before the Russian won the break to that score to serve for the match.
Suitably, Medvedev clinched the win with a point at the net, with Moutet failing to manage a shot after a lengthy match.
