Netflix Casts Ideal Star for Mr. 2 in One Piece Third Season
Baroque Works is poised to play a huge role in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, though the real showdown won’t unfold until season 3, and a adored, fan-favorite member has now been chosen.
The streaming service revealed this week that the talented performer will appear in the One Piece season 3 cast and will play Bentham. This character possesses the power to change into an exact copy of any person they’ve touched with their dominant hand. The actor, who is gender non-conforming and uses they/them pronouns, will play a rendition of that character reimagined as non-binary, rather than as a drag queen, in the real-life adaptation, unlike the original manga and animated series.
This performer will work alongside several other recently announced actors set to bring the organization to the screen, featuring leader Mr. 0, portrayed by the well-known actor, Sophia Anne Caruso as a key member, and a familiar face, who also joins the cast as the monarch of Alabasta.
Although Bon Clay is a important part of Baroque Works, the persona won’t make their debut One Piece the upcoming installment. Considering the next season expected to adapt the Little Garden segment, this signals a notable change in the placement of their first appearance, one that could suggest further changes to the plot development.
The actor’s combination of excellent comedic sense and profound feeling makes them a perfect fit for the character. In addition to their latest vocal work in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they received high praise and multiple awards for writing and starring in the hit comedy play Oh Mary!, highlighting the versatility they’ll add to one of One Piece’s widely praised roles.
The platform’s adapted One Piece series is set to return for its season two on March 10, 2026.
