Jurgen Klopp admits a return to manage Liverpool is conceivable.

The German coach, who departed from Liverpool in 2024, remarked that returning someday remains something that could happen. Klopp, following a hugely successful nine-season tenure which brought Champions League success and the Reds’ first league title in 30 years, currently occupies positions overseeing worldwide football for Red Bull and as an advisor for the DFL.

Fan Sentiment and Klopp’s Candid Remarks

The club claimed the Premier League under Arne Slot, yet numerous supporters who adore the manager would embrace the possibility that he might come back one day. During an extensive chat, he explained to Steven Bartlett: “I said I won't manage a different club in England. Therefore in case it's my former club...absolutely. Theoretically it’s possible.”

“At 58 years old, so I could make the decision down the line, it's uncertain. Is a decision required immediately? In that case, I'd stay away. Luckily, no such pressure exists. I'll wait and observe what the future brings.”

Conditions for a Comeback

When asked about what circumstances must arise to bring him back to the touchline, Klopp admitted he isn't eager toward coming back. “It's unclear to me, My present work fulfills me,” he said. “I don’t miss coaching; No desire to be in the rain for two-and-a-half or three hours; No need for media briefings four times, three times a week or constant media duties each week.

“I don’t miss the dressing room as a dressing room, but sitting in a restaurant alongside the squad talking freely, is pleasant. We won a lot of games so there was often great spirits around the place. Remaining with me is Van Dijk's laughter in my ear as an instance.”

Praise for His Successor

He commended of the current boss, acknowledging his role due to the changes that took the title last campaign. They've been defeated four in a row in every contest post heavy investment, though he denied the notion of it representing a decline.

“[Liverpool have] a top-class attacker in Flo[rian] Wirtz, you will all eat your words with negative comments. A remarkable prospect. Ekitike, excellent performer. This is a well-built balanced team. Fans shouldn't fret over the club, they'll bounce back.”

Heartfelt Words for Diogo Jota

Klopp also spoke emotionally regarding the passing of Jota, whom he brought in during his tenure, along with the consequences on Liverpool. Jota died tragically in a road accident alongside his brother this past summer.

“How do you replace somebody like Diogo? It goes beyond his on-field talent, it's his character. I can’t imagine the squad without him in it. I still cannot speak properly about it. A devastating blow for his teammates too. No one within the club might employ it as an excuse but it is the situation. You walk in a dressing room where he was omnipresent. Dealing with that emotionally is not easy. Impossible.”
