Beloved Performer Pat Finn, a versatile actor, Known For Parts in The Middle and Friends, Passes Away at the Age of Sixty.
Stateside performer Finn, who featured in beloved television series like "Friends", Seinfeld and The Middle, has died aged 60.
The skilled improv artist passed away at his residence in LA recently following treatment for a cancer diagnosis beginning in 2022, according to reports.
"Pat Finn never met a stranger - only friends he didn't know yet," his family shared in a message.
They continued that he had "embraced life completely - with happiness and energy".
An Extensive TV Career
His initial on-screen part was on the George Wendt Show in 1995, where he appeared as the brother of the main character.
He was also seen in a regular part on Murphy Brown from 1995 to 1997.
He appeared as a party host named Joe Mayo in Seinfeld in 1998, depicting a host who would assign tedious tasks to his guests.
Throughout the late 1990s and early 2000s, he made guest appearances on several popular shows, including:
- "King of Queens"
- "Friends"
- "That '70s Show"
- House
He was most recognized for playing the character Bill Norwood in "The Middle", featuring across eight series between 2011 and 2018.
His film credits encompass It's Complicated (2009) and Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups (2012).
Beyond the Screen
Away from his acting parts, Finn was a skilled improviser and served as an educator at the University of Colorado, where he was a faculty member.
He was a member of a six-member improv team called "Beer Shark Mice".
"Finn coached, befriended and mentored many learners during his career and it would be difficult to find anyone anyplace who has a bad thing to say about him," his loved ones expressed.
Paying homage, colleague and actor Richard Kind noted there was "nobody more kind, gentle, and humorous, down to earth person you could encounter".
"Consistently upbeat, assisting others to improve and be funnier. A wonderful father and man," he posted on social media.
Pat Finn is remembered by his partner Donna, his children, and his family.
