Acclaimed Actress Diane Ladd, Famed For Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore, Passes Away at Age 89.
The Oscar-nominated actor Diane Ladd has died aged 89.
This actor, whose credits featured National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, left this world in her residence in California’s Ojai. This announcement was announced via an announcement by her offspring, Oscar-winning actor Laura Dern.
Laura Dern, who appeared with her mom in various films such as Rambling Rose, called her “my wonderful hero plus my precious gift being my mom”, writing that she was by her side when she passed.

Early Career and Major Success
Her initial acting years included minor parts in TV shows like Perry Mason while the seventies saw her starring with Jack Nicholson in the classic Chinatown.
That very year, 1974, she performed with Ellen Burstyn in Scorsese’s acclaimed film Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore. Her acting brought Ladd an Academy Award nomination in the supporting actress category.
Subsequent Years
Throughout the 1980s, she appeared in the thriller the movie Black Widow plus comedy sequel National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation and also took part in the sitcom Alice, a sitcom inspired by Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore.
In the following decade, she received an additional Oscar nomination for supporting actress Academy Award nomination for her role in Lynch’s the movie Wild at Heart in which she portrayed the parent of her biological child Laura Dern’s role.
